The Department of Pediatrics and Child Health is dedicated to training, research and service endeavors that promote healthcare, improve the quality of life and optimize the developmental potential of all children with particular attention to ethnic minorities and the prevention and treatment of diseases prevalent in those populations. Key services include:

  • Neonatal and nursery services
  • Preventative medicine and immunizations
  • Child development
  • Emergency care pediatrics
  • Community-based adolescent health programs
